[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the 21st, the 9th to 11th COVID-19 confirmed cases occurred among residents of Seodaemun-gu.
The 9th and 10th confirmed cases are a 29-year-old woman, Ms. A, and a 38-year-old man, Mr. B, who were living together in Yeonhui-dong, Yeonhuigung Apartment.
Ms. A returned to Korea on the 9th of this month after visiting France and Germany. She developed a runny nose on the 14th and experienced both a runny nose and fever (37.5℃) on the 20th.
Mr. B showed coughing symptoms starting from the 18th of this month.
Both visited the Seodaemun-gu Public Health Center screening clinic on the afternoon of the 20th to get tested for COVID-19, and both were confirmed positive on the morning of the 21st.
Ms. A and Mr. B were transferred to the Seoul Metropolitan Seobuk Hospital in Eunpyeong-gu. It was confirmed that no other individuals live with them.
The 11th confirmed case is a 20-year-old Korean-American male residing in a foreign residence in Yeonhui-dong.
This confirmed case entered Korea from the United Kingdom on the 20th.
Due to suspected symptoms (a slight cough), a specimen was collected at the Incheon Airport quarantine station, and he was confirmed positive on the 21st and notified to the Seodaemun-gu Public Health Center.
This confirmed case was transferred to the National Medical Center in Jung-gu, and his family members living together in Yeonhui-dong are currently self-isolating at home.
