Donation of Masks from Police Substation Returns to Child Welfare Facilities...'Heartwarming Warmth Relay'
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] Through the continuous good deeds of citizens and the police, masks, which have become scarce due to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak, were delivered to a child welfare facility.
On the 21st, according to the police, a man estimated to be in his 70s visited the Haengdang Police Substation of the Seongdong Police Station in Seoul and left 28 masks.
The man reportedly refused to reveal his identity, saying, "These are leftover masks, so please use them, officers," before leaving the substation.
The police officers discussed and agreed to donate the masks to a child welfare facility in Seongdong-gu, and the team leader on duty at the substation personally delivered the masks.
