This decision was made due to the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) on the U.S. Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Tour. On the 21st (Korean time), it was officially announced that "the schedule for three tournaments?the Lotte Championship, originally scheduled to start on April 15, the Hugel-Air Premia LA Open (April 23?26), and the Mediheal Championship (April 30?May 3)?will be postponed," adding that "this measure was taken in consideration of various recommendations and directives from health organizations regarding COVID-19."

A total of nine tournaments, including six scheduled from mid-February to early April, have been disrupted. The next event is the Pelican Women’s Championship, held on May 14 in Belleair, Florida, USA. The season’s first major, the ANA Inspiration, originally scheduled to open on April 2, has been postponed and will now be held over four days from September 10 at the Rancho Mirage Golf Club in California, USA. The Cambia Portland Classic, which was planned to be held during this period, has been moved one week later to September 17.
