Gwangju Dong-gu Offers Free Legal Consultation Service Once a Month
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Im Taek) announced on the 20th that it will provide free legal consultation services once a month for residents who are experiencing difficulties due to various legal issues arising in daily life.
Since March 2017, Dong-gu has been operating free legal consultation services to actively resolve the difficulties of residents who face challenges in legal responses due to lack of legal knowledge and economic problems.
The free legal consultation lawyers consist of seven lawyers from the Gwangju area who have a strong spirit of service, diverse experience, and abundant legal knowledge.
Eligibility to apply is open to any resident with an address or domicile in Dong-gu, Gwangju, and applications can be made by phone to the Legal Audit Office of the district office.
The consultation takes place face-to-face with the consulting lawyer on the third floor situation room of the district office on the fourth Monday of every month.
The scope of consultation covers a wide range of areas including administrative, civil, criminal, and family cases, as well as legal consultations related to administrative dispositions, various legal interpretations, and other matters related to residents' daily lives.
In particular, due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, consultations are also available on methods for support, services, and relief systems that require legal knowledge.
