Korea Investment Financial Group Appoints 'Kim Nam-gu Vice Chairman' as Chairman
[Asia Economy Reporter Koh Hyung-kwang] On the 20th, Korea Investment Financial Group held its regular shareholders' meeting and board of directors meeting at its headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, and announced the appointment of Vice Chairman Kim Nam-gu (photo) as chairman. Chairman Kim was promoted after nine years since being appointed vice chairman in 2011.
Chairman Kim Nam-gu began his career in 1987 as an employee at Dongwon Industries. In 1991, he entered the financial industry by joining Dongwon Securities, the predecessor of Korea Investment & Securities, as an assistant manager. Over the past 30 years, he has been involved in the financial industry and is credited with growing Korea Financial Group to the industry's top level across all investment finance business sectors.
