Warm gestures continue to reach Guro-gu Public Health Center.
On the 29th of last month, a vehicle stopped in front of Guro-gu Public Health Center. A couple in the vehicle asked the staff at the screening clinic how many workers were on duty and then brought 16 servings of kimbap and dumplings. The couple said, “While driving, we saw the workers struggling at the screening clinic even on weekends, so we bought some snacks,” and added, “It’s not much, but we hope you eat this and gain strength,” before leaving the health center.
On the 13th of this month, two unidentified residents visited the health center and delivered 5 boxes of strawberries and 3 boxes of apples.
On the 16th, residents from Gumi, Gyeongbuk sent 8 boxes of snacks and 100 ion drinks by courier. The package included a message saying, “When the Gyeongbuk region was going through a difficult time due to COVID-19, we were able to gain strength thanks to nationwide love,” and “We hope Guro-gu, which is currently facing difficulties, overcomes this crisis well.”
On the 18th, a resident of Sindorim-dong sent 420 masks by courier. The letter inside the package read, “We are sending masks that were purchased in advance for health management to the health center staff fighting on the front lines of COVID-19.”
In addition, various encouragement items from all walks of life poured into the health center’s COVID-19 task force.
The Guro-gu Medical Association donated 8 servings of chicken and pizza, the Guro-gu Barugesalgi Council donated 8 servings of chicken, Natural Healthcare Co., Ltd. donated 48 boxes of red ginseng sticks, the Guro-gu Korean Medicine Association donated 40 handmade breads and 11 boxes of Ssanghwatang, Guro Dana Hospital donated 20 breads and milk, Yes Hospital Guro Branch donated 3 cakes, Donggwang Church donated 4 boxes of Baeksulgi rice cakes, Hyundai Department Store D-Cube City Support Team donated 60 hamburger sets and 3 boxes of tangerines, Jesus Order of Eoru-dong donated 2 boxes of sandwiches and 30 drinks, Korea Yakult Guro 5-dong Branch donated 150 drinks, Red Cross Sindorim Branch donated 100 breads and 100 soy milk, Guro icoop Cooperative donated 20 boxes of snacks and 20 boxes of drinks, and the Korean Association of Occupational Therapists donated 50 packs of nutritional supplements and other fatigue recovery items.
