This two-week promotional event focuses on 17 leafy vegetables and fruit and vegetable items that are difficult to control the shipping period and hard to store for a long time. In particular, for popular school meal items such as assorted ssam and medium-sized green onions, a discount of 600 won per item will be offered when using affiliated cards.
In addition, seven distribution centers in the metropolitan area will operate special sale event stands separately for one week until the 25th. The public value of eco-friendly agricultural products will also be promoted.
Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Kim Hyun-soo and NongHyup Chairman Lee Seong-hee personally visited the special sale event stand at the NongHyup Distribution Yangjae branch on the first day of the promotion. They encouraged on-site staff and urged them to work hard to sell eco-friendly agricultural products and school meal agricultural products.
Chairman Lee Seong-hee said, "We will do our best to ease the concerns of farmers who are having difficulties in sales due to the spread of COVID-19," adding, "We ask for the public's great interest in the virtuous consumption of eco-friendly agricultural products that create a win-win situation between producers and consumers through this event."
