After the floor strategy meeting held at the National Assembly main building on the 17th, Floor Leader Shim told reporters, "Isn't it possible for us to at least express our opinions?"
Regarding concerns about 'illegal controversy' over intervening in the nominations of a different party, even though it is a sister party, he said, "Just because we intervene doesn't mean we have voting rights or anything like that," adding, "It depends on what is considered intervention." He clarified that simple expression of opinions is not illegal.
Floor Leader Shim explained that the Future Korea Party excluded many talents recruited by the United Future Party from the stable proportional representation slots within the top 20, saying, "Those parts are currently causing problems," and "There is a difference from the recruited parts."
However, he said no decision has been made yet on what actions to take regarding this. Floor Leader Shim said, "Let's wait and see on that," and "We are discussing various things, but the direction has not been decided yet." He also mentioned that although he had several phone calls with Representative Han Seon-kyo, he had not received any hints related to proportional representation.

Regarding the supplementary budget bill scheduled to be discussed at today's plenary session, he said, "There are demands to adjust revenue and expenditure and increase support for Daegu and Gyeongbuk, but the ruling party currently says they cannot do that," adding, "Daegu and Gyeongbuk are requesting emergency livelihood funds and survival funds, but the actual content is support for small business owners and self-employed people, which is basically loans or financing. I think this is not appropriate, so negotiations are ongoing."
