"Virus Spread Through Believers' Mouths"... Jin Joong-kwon Criticizes Eunhyeui Gang Church's 'Saltwater Disinfection'
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] Former Dongyang University professor Jin Joong-kwon criticized the report that at Seongnam Eunhyeui Gang Church, where a large-scale COVID-19 outbreak occurred, church members were sprayed with a mist in their mouths for disinfection purposes on the 16th, calling it a "combination of blind faith and ignorance."

He added, "Even if the pastor is ignorant, what about the believers who willingly ingest the virus solution?" and said, "The tragedy is that one can become a 'pastor' without filtering out false information due to such poor comprehension."
He continued, "Here, we see the miserable state of a segment of Christianity in South Korea," adding, "Just because we use the same calendar doesn't mean we live in the same era."
Meanwhile, on the same day, Seongnam City in Gyeonggi Province announced that 40 members of Eunhyeui Gang Church (Yangji-dong, Sujeong-gu) tested positive for COVID-19, and it was pointed out that spraying saltwater mist into the mouths of attendees during worship services was a major cause of the infection spread.
