Korea Securities Depository, Kakao and 477 Companies Use Electronic Voting in Third Week of March
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] The Korea Securities Depository announced on the 13th that 477 companies with December fiscal year-end will use the Depository's electronic voting system (K-eVote) ahead of their regular general meetings of shareholders in the third week of March (15th?21st).
On the 15th, companies such as Kakao, Shinsegae, and Hanwha will open the electronic voting system, and from the 16th, Shinhan Financial Group and SK Innovation will begin using electronic voting. Additionally, on the 17th, Korea Electric Power Corporation and Asiana Airlines will start using electronic voting, and on the 20th, CJ and POSCO Chemical will begin using it as well.

The electronic voting and electronic proxy period lasts for 10 days from the start date and can be extended upon the company's request. The available voting hours are from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., with the final day ending at 5 p.m. Shareholders of the respective companies can access the Depository's 'K-eVote site' to exercise their voting rights.
