Igeon Changho Donates 100 Million Won for COVID-19 Spread Prevention Fund
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daeseop] Igeon Changho announced on the 13th that it has raised 100 million KRW in donations to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
This donation was raised through a one-to-one matching fund method, with 50 million KRW voluntarily shared by employees as 1% of their salaries and the company adding the same amount as a donation.
The donation was delivered to the Community Chest of Korea (Sarangui Yeolmae Social Welfare Community Chest). With the donation, about 39,000 masks will be purchased to support vulnerable groups suffering from diseases who are having difficulty securing supplies.
In particular, the masks will be prioritized for 20 local welfare facilities in Daegu, including elderly facilities, facilities for the disabled, and youth shelters that require urgent support.
