Yangcheon-gu Recruits Resident Groups or Organizations to Co-Produce Cloth Masks
‘Cheer Up Yangcheon!’ Contest Project to Overcome the Mask Crisis Together with the Power of the Village Community
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Yangcheon-gu (Mayor Kim Soo-young) is recruiting resident groups or organizations to participate in the "Cheer Up Yangcheon!" contest project until the 16th.
The "Cheer Up Yangcheon!" contest project, promoted under the theme "#I am OK #You First - Let's Overcome the Mask Crisis Together," was initiated to overcome the mask shortage caused by the spread of COVID-19 in the local community through the power of the village community.
Any resident group or organization of three or more people willing to dedicate their time and effort to produce cloth masks for socially vulnerable groups can participate.
The application period is until the 16th, and applications can be submitted via email to the Yangcheon-gu Village Community Support Center (yangcheon17@gmail.com).
Through this contest project, the district plans to produce a total of 6,000 cloth masks by the end of March and distribute them to 3,000 people residing in Yangcheon-gu, including persons with disabilities, multicultural individuals, and low-income youth under 18 years old.
Kim Soo-young, Mayor of Yangcheon-gu, said, "We are making every administrative effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the community," adding, "I hope we can overcome the COVID-19 crisis together with the warm hearts and sharing of residents."
