A man in his 40s arrested for secretly photographing women's bodies while pretending to be a photographer
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] A man in his 40s who pretended to be a photographer and secretly took photos of women's body parts was caught by the police.
On the 12th, Gunsan Police Station in Jeonbuk announced that they had booked Mr. A without detention on charges of secretly photographing women's body parts with a mobile phone (violation of the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Crimes, etc.).
Mr. A is suspected of secretly taking photos of body parts of eight women using a mobile phone around 2 p.m. on the 8th at Gyeongam-dong Cheolgil Village, a tourist spot in Gunsan.
The police reportedly responded to a victim's report and caught Mr. A at the scene.
Dozens of photos showing women's body parts were found on Mr. A's mobile phone.
According to the police investigation, Mr. A committed the crime by pretending to be a photographer to avoid suspicion.
