"Supporting Overseas Expansion Companies" Shinhan Bank Operates COVID-19 'Overseas Rapid Support Team'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Haeyoung] Shinhan Bank announced on the 12th that it will operate an 'Overseas Rapid Support Team' to assist Korean companies that have expanded overseas, as international travel restrictions have become a reality due to the global spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The Overseas Rapid Support Team is composed mainly of overseas staff stationed in 20 countries within Shinhan Bank's global network. Together with the Head Office Global Business Division, it plans to support not only financial difficulties faced by Korean companies operating abroad but also inconveniences experienced by Korean expatriates.
Key support measures include ▲consultation and guidance on solutions when financial issues such as delayed fund settlements occur ▲support through Shinhan Bank's global network when business is restricted due to inability to travel locally ▲community service activities for companies and expatriates.

A Shinhan Bank official said, "We have considered ways Shinhan Bank can support Korean companies operating overseas amid the spread of COVID-19," adding, "We will continue to provide support with the belief that by joining forces especially in difficult times, we can surely overcome these challenges."
