KT-affiliated PlayD, Listed on KOSDAQ
[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] PlayD, an online advertising agency affiliated with KT, announced on the 12th that it will be newly listed on the KOSDAQ market.
After receiving preliminary review approval for KOSDAQ listing in November last year, PlayD recorded the highest competition rate of 1,270.7 to 1 among general listings on the KOSDAQ market in the demand forecast conducted for institutional investors on the 24th and 25th of last month. The public offering price was also set at 8,500 KRW, exceeding the expected price range (6,800 KRW to 7,700 KRW). In the subsequent subscription for general investors, it continued its success with a competition rate of 864.8 to 1.
PlayD is a comprehensive online advertising agency under the KT Group that provides integrated marketing services based on data analysis. It manages the entire process from digital advertising strategy planning, advertisement production, and advertising operation to the media rep area. In 2018, its annual sales amounted to 34.7 billion KRW, and operating profit was 7 billion KRW. As of the third quarter of last year, cumulative sales and operating profit were 29.9 billion KRW and 6.9 billion KRW, respectively.
