Hong Kong Korean Association Donates 57,600 Masks to Daegu
[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] The Hong Kong Korean Association announced on the 10th that it has sent 57,600 masks to the Daegu region, which is facing great difficulties due to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The masks sent to Daegu this time consist of 50,000 masks donated by Park Byung-won, chairman of MTS, and 7,600 masks remaining after distribution to the Hong Kong Korean community, organized by the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Hong Kong and cooperated by the Hong Kong Korean Association and the Hong Kong Korean Chamber of Commerce.

Koreans in Hong Kong, considering the more difficult domestic conditions compared to Hong Kong, voluntarily declined to receive masks and decided to send them to Korea. They also agreed to unite their efforts in the fundraising campaign for the Daegu region being conducted by the Hong Kong Korean community.
