[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Young-wook] On the 10th, Lee Mo (62), the campaign headquarters chief of Yang Geum-hee (59), a preliminary candidate who was unilaterally nominated in the Daegu Buk-gu Gap electoral district of the United Future Party, was confirmed positive for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) and passed away.
Lee, who was the campaign headquarters chief for candidate Yang and a former chairperson of the basic council, was found to be COVID-19 positive posthumously. It was reported that he visited the campaign office on the 5th and stayed for about 20 minutes.
On the 7th, Yang’s headquarters chief underwent a COVID-19 test at Buk-gu Public Health Center due to coughing and fever and received a negative result. However, on the 9th, he suffered cardiac arrest and was transported to Chilgok Kyungpook National University Hospital but passed away that morning. Although he had no underlying diseases, he had a history of lung damage from a traffic accident 20 years ago, and on the morning of the 10th, he was confirmed positive for COVID-19 postmortem.
