[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Hanssem (CEO Kang Seung-soo) announced on the 10th that it has formed the 'Hanssem Emergency Logistics Support Team,' composed of construction partner technicians, on the 9th to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions and to support relief efforts by transporting relief supplies for one month.
As medical staff and volunteers from across the country gather in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions affected by COVID-19, and warm-hearted support continues from companies and organizations, Hanssem has decided to contribute to overcoming COVID-19 by utilizing its logistics infrastructure established in the local community.
Hanssem will urgently transport medical supplies such as masks, protective suits, hand sanitizers, and hair caps, as well as relief items like lunch boxes and bottled water, gathered from all over the country at 'Daegu Stadium' to hospitals, public health centers, and residential treatment centers within the region. The plan includes emergency transportation of relief supplies not only in Daegu but also throughout the Gyeongbuk area, including Pohang and Mungyeong.
The Hanssem Emergency Logistics Support Team consists of 10 Hanssem construction partner technicians and will operate for one month. A Hanssem official stated, "With the designation of additional infectious disease-dedicated hospitals and residential treatment centers in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions, we judged that the rapid delivery of medical supplies and relief goods for patients, medical staff, and volunteers is necessary. After considering ways the company can contribute to overcoming COVID-19, we decided to provide logistics support and will also review additional ways to assist."
