Road Traffic Authority Releases 36 Free 'Traffic Safety Education Content' Reflecting Changes in Road Environment
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] The Korea Road Traffic Authority announced on the 10th that it has developed and publicly released 36 types of 'Open Traffic Safety Education Content.'
The newly developed content addresses the previous limitation where traffic safety education content was heavily focused on automobile drivers, reflecting the diversification of transportation modes and road environments.
The content consists of a total of 36 types, including 35 videos covering ▲Precautions in case of traffic accidents ▲Basic characteristics of automobiles and eco-driving ▲Safe driving methods for various situations ▲Safe riding methods for two-wheelers and bicycles ▲Behavioral characteristics of vulnerable road users (children, elderly, users of walking assistive devices, etc.), as well as card news on personal mobility and electric kickboards.
In particular, traffic safety education field experts participated in the production of the content, and the Authority explained that topics necessary for real situations were selected to provide customized education for learners who are road users.
This content can be freely downloaded and used by anyone from the Open Education bulletin board within the 'Korea Road Traffic Authority e-Learning Center' (trafficedu.koroad.or.kr). It is also available through the Authority's YouTube channel.
