China Starts Exporting Masks to Korea Today... First Batch of 5 Million Units
[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Young-shin] The Chinese Embassy in Korea announced that it will begin exporting Chinese-made masks from the 10th to assist with Korea's mask supply. The embassy added that it will initially export a total of 5 million masks, including general medical masks and N95 masks.
Regarding the mask exports, the Chinese Embassy in Korea explained, "This represents the warmth and loyalty between the two countries, embodying the spirit of 'Sumang Sangjo Dongju Gongje (守望相助 同舟共濟 - like crossing a river together in the same boat, helping each other to overcome difficulties)." It continued, "China is willing to support Korea with supplies, share information and experiences, and carry out joint epidemic prevention and control cooperation to overcome COVID-19 as soon as possible together."
