Gwangju Gwangsan Fire Station Inspects Dormitory at Gwangju Fire School
Preparing for Local Spread of COVID-19
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju Gwangsan Fire Station (Chief Moon Gisik) announced on the 9th that it conducted an emergency inspection of the dormitory at Gwangju Fire School, designated as a residential treatment center (Center 1), to prepare for the local spread of COVID-19.
Gwangju City recently experienced a rapid increase in COVID-19 confirmed cases due to a cluster outbreak among Shincheonji Church members. To prepare for further community spread, the dormitory at Gwangju Fire School will be primarily used as Center 1, and based on the trend of the spread, the 5·18 Education Center will be expanded and designated as Center 2 for operation.
During this inspection, the fire safety management status of the fire school dormitory designated as Center 1 was checked, and fire safety consulting was conducted to prevent safety accidents.
