Hyundai Motor Labor and Management Collaborate for Collective Blood Donation and Mask Support to Overcome COVID-19

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Hyundai Motor Company's labor and management joined hands to overcome the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis by organizing a group blood donation. Along with this, Hyundai Motor's labor and management also delivered masks to vulnerable groups in the Ulsan area.
Hyundai Motor announced on the 9th that a blood donation event was held at the Ulsan plant's PR center, attended by President Ha Eontaek and Labor Union Branch Chief Lee Sangsoo, among other labor and management representatives.
Hyundai Motor plans to deploy blood donation vehicles at major internal locations and conduct campaigns to assist medical sites struggling with blood supply shortages due to COVID-19.
President Ha, who participated in the blood donation, said, "We are thoroughly conducting virus prevention activities to wisely overcome the crisis," adding, "We will do our best to produce high-quality cars, which is the primary role of the Ulsan plant, and supply them to customers in a timely manner."
Labor Union Branch Chief Lee said, "I hope this helps frontline medical staff even a little," and added, "To overcome the COVID-19 crisis, we will consider the difficulties of the local community and parts suppliers together, and strive for maximum production for the survival rights of customers and partner companies."
Meanwhile, before the blood donation event, labor and management delivered 40,000 masks to the Ulsan branch of the Korean Red Cross to support vulnerable groups in the region. Hyundai Motor's Red Cross Volunteer Society and Ulsan Red Cross volunteers plan to distribute them within this month.

Hyundai Motor's labor and management made a special agreement on the 25th of last month to overcome the COVID-19 crisis by strengthening preventive measures, taking proactive emergency response actions, and supporting the local community's crisis recovery to thoroughly prevent further spread.
