Krafton Appoints Kim Chang-han, PUBG CEO, as Next CEO
New CEO Kim to Concurrently Serve as Krafton-PUBG CEO
[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-gyu Lee] Krafton announced on the 5th that it has appointed Kim Chang-han, CEO of PUBG, as its next CEO.
Krafton plans to proceed with the CEO appointment through a shareholders' meeting and board resolution. The newly appointed CEO Kim currently oversees the management of PUBG. After the appointment process, Kim will concurrently serve as CEO of both Krafton and PUBG.
CEO Kim has built his career since 2000 working in development, planning, and technical roles at game studios. In 2015, he served as CTO and development producer at Bluehole Ginno Games, where he created "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds," which led the global success of the battle royale genre.
