[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] The Japanese government is expected to strengthen entry restrictions by requiring all entrants from Korea and China to undergo a two-week quarantine before being granted entry permission.
According to the Japanese daily Yomiuri Shimbun on the 5th, the Japanese government is reportedly set to announce entry restrictions that include quarantining all entrants from Korea and China in medical facilities or government-designated facilities as a measure to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
Visas issued by Korea and China are expected to be suspended to block tourist entries. Additionally, flights from Korea and China will be limited to Narita Airport and Kansai Airport, and passenger transportation by ship will be halted.
