According to Daegu City on the 5th, at 7:34 a.m. that day, a 77-year-old male, Mr. A, passed away at Fatima Hospital in Dong-gu, Daegu.
He showed symptoms of fever and difficulty breathing on the 3rd and visited the emergency room of Fatima Hospital the next day, where he was confirmed positive for COVID-19.
It was found that Mr. A had been suffering from diabetes.
With Mr. A's death, the number of deaths in Daegu rose to 26, and the total number of deaths nationwide increased to 39.
Meanwhile, according to Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, Ms. B (84, female) living in Cheongdo and Mr. C (81) living in Seongju also died that morning at Andong Medical Center.
Ms. B was confirmed positive on the 21st of last month and had underlying conditions such as heart failure and cerebral infarction.
