View original image[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Lim Juhyung] The first confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) have occurred in Gangbuk-gu, Seoul.
Gangbuk-gu Office announced on the 5th through its official website status board that two confirmed cases have been reported in Gangbuk-gu.
The confirmed cases are office worker A (36) and high school student B (17). It is known that the two reside in Beon 3-dong and Samgaksan-dong, respectively.
The infection routes of the two individuals are currently under investigation.
Meanwhile, these two are the first COVID-19 confirmed cases in Gangbuk-gu. With this, confirmed cases have been reported in 24 out of the 25 autonomous districts in Seoul, excluding Jung-gu.
