The Half-Price Courier is an ultra-low-cost delivery service product utilizing GS25's nationwide logistics network and delivery vehicles. It is available 365 days a year, regardless of holidays or weekdays, and the fee is 1,600 KRW, up to 65% cheaper than regular courier services. Starting from March, the delivery period has also been shortened from a maximum of 4 days to 3 days.
According to data analyzed from 5,000 customers who recently used the Half-Price Courier service, 80.1% of users were women. The age distribution of users was 46.2% in their 20s and 35.8% in their 30s, with those in their 20s and 30s making up the vast majority. The biggest advantage of the Half-Price Courier, cited by 83.5%, was its 'affordable price.'
The main purposes for using the Half-Price Courier were 'secondhand transactions' at 69.5% and 'gift delivery' at 26.3%. GS25 analyzes that thrifty women in their 20s and 30s are using the Half-Price Courier service extensively to minimize shipping costs when conducting secondhand transactions.
It was also found that 82.0% of customers who used the Half-Price Courier purchased products at GS25 simultaneously, indicating that the service contributes to increased sales at GS25 franchise stores. The most frequently purchased items by Half-Price Courier users were fresh food such as lunch boxes, beverages, cigarettes, and alcoholic drinks, in that order.
