[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] On the 4th, Justice Minister Choo Mi-ae stated regarding the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) situation, "In order to block the spread of (COVID-19) and for the residential treatment facilities to function properly, it is necessary to identify the list of believers and their movement routes through the seizure and search of Shincheonji Church of Jesus," and added, "A thorough investigation of unreported facilities is also necessary."
Minister Choo made these remarks in response to a question from Heo Yoon-jung, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, during the government questioning session on education, social, and cultural fields held at the National Assembly that day.
