The Korea Financial Investment Association Donates Relief Funds with Labor Union to Overcome COVID-19
Donation of 13.38 Million Won Delivered to National Disaster Relief Association
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] The Korea Credit Finance Association announced on the 4th that it has donated 13.38 million won raised by its executives, employees, and labor union together to overcome the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) to the National Disaster Relief Association.
The donation was voluntarily collected by the executives, employees, and labor union of the Korea Credit Finance Association to overcome COVID-19 and prevent its spread. It will be used to purchase health aid kits and protective suits for quarantine subjects, medical staff, and volunteers in heavily affected areas such as Daegu and Gyeongbuk, as well as masks and hand sanitizers to support socially vulnerable groups.
The credit finance industry is also providing financial support such as maturity extensions, repayment deferrals, and discounts on interest and late fees to small and medium-sized merchants who have suffered losses such as decreased sales due to COVID-19.
