Yeosu-si Provides Tax Audit Deferral Benefits to Outstanding Local Taxpayers
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Yeosu City, Jeollanam-do announced on the 4th that it selected 10 outstanding local tax payers in accordance with the provisions of the 'Yeosu City Ordinance on Support for Exemplary Taxpayers' on the 3rd, Taxpayer's Day.
The outstanding taxpayers are individuals and corporations who have not defaulted on local taxes in the past three years and have faithfully paid local taxes of 10 million won and 100 million won or more respectively to Yeosu City. They are awarded an outstanding taxpayer certification plaque, and their names are published on the city’s website.
Outstanding taxpayers are provided with benefits such as exemption from public parking fees for one year and exemption from local tax audits for three years.
In addition, Yeosu City plans to draw 100 exemplary taxpayers who have faithfully paid three or more regular local taxes each year for the past three years and provide them with traditional market gift certificates worth 50,000 won.

A Yeosu City official said, “We deeply appreciate taxpayers who have faithfully paid taxes despite difficult circumstances,” and added, “We will thoroughly and transparently execute the use of the taxes paid so that they can be properly used to improve the quality of life of citizens.”
