Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education to Hire 299 Local Government Officials in Various Positions

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education announced on the 2nd the "2020 2nd Jeollanam-do Office of Education Local Government Employee Open (Career) Competitive Recruitment Examination Implementation Plan."

The number of planned recruits for this examination is a total of 299 across 8 job categories, including 232 for educational administration.

Among them, the career competitive recruitment examination for graduates (or prospective graduates) of specialized high schools and Meister high schools will select "2 for Industry (General Machinery), 1 for Industry (General Electricity), 2 for Facilities (Architecture), and 5 for Culinary Arts."

In particular, starting this year, the selection has been expanded to include the culinary arts category to contribute to the creation of quality high school graduate jobs and to hire outstanding talents within the province.

Additionally, to broaden public service entry opportunities for socially disadvantaged groups, 11 persons with disabilities and 7 low-income individuals will be selected separately from general applicants.

The questions for the local government employee recruitment examination will be commissioned to the Ministry of Personnel Management, and subjects that cannot be commissioned will be jointly prepared by a consultative body of 17 city and provincial offices of education nationwide.

Applications will be accepted online through the "Online Recruitment System" from the 20th to the 24th of next month. The written examination will be held on June 13, the interview on July 24, and the final successful candidates will be announced on August 3.
