Hwasun-gun Installs 'Safe Emergency Bells' in Child Protection Zones and More
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Young-gyun] Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gu Chung-gon) announced on the 2nd that it will install and operate safety emergency bells in parks and child protection zones to create an environment where residents can live with peace of mind.
Previously, since 2017, the county has been implementing safety emergency bells with its own budget to enable quick reporting and response in cases of various violence or emergencies, and by the end of last year, they were installed in 16 locations including parks.
When it is difficult to respond quickly to crimes or emergencies, pressing the safety emergency bell immediately sends the caller's location information to the control center, which shares the situation with the police station for prompt response.
At the same time, internal warning lights and alarms activate to quickly alert those nearby of the crisis, and the emergency bell system operates 24 hours without interruption.
The bells are designed to be highly visible, with additional LED lights installed to ensure they can be easily found even at night during emergencies.
