View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Muan County, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) announced on the 2nd that it has launched a joint quarantine effort with Mokpo Muan Sinan Livestock Cooperative (Cooperative President Moon Man-sik) on the 1st to prevent COVID-19 and is making an all-out response.
With the recent nationwide surge in confirmed COVID-19 cases raising concerns about community transmission, an emergency joint quarantine was conducted with the active cooperation of Mokpo Muan Sinan Livestock Cooperative to alleviate residents' anxiety and preemptively block sources of infection.
The county received support of 9 quarantine vehicles from Mokpo Muan Sinan Livestock Cooperative and carried out disinfection focused on key areas with high foot traffic such as downtown areas, multi-use facilities, schools, and religious institutions across 9 towns and townships.
About 30 people attended the quarantine effort, including Governor Kim San, Cooperative President Moon Man-sik, County Council Chairman Lee Jung-woon, and other county council members.

Governor Kim San stated, “As the COVID-19 response crisis has been elevated to a serious level, we are making an all-out effort to block community infection,” and urged, “Residents should refrain from going out, comply with preventive measures such as wearing masks and washing hands, and contact the health center or 1339 if they have fever or respiratory symptoms.”
