On the 29th of last month (local time) at the 70th Berlin International Film Festival held in Berlin, Germany, Director Hong was honored with the Silver Bear (Best Director) for his 24th feature film, "The Woman Who Ran."

When Director Hong was announced as the winner that day, his partner Kim Min-hee and Seo Young-hwa, who were seated beside him, could not hide their joy. Kim Min-hee tapped Director Hong on the shoulder, and the two exchanged glances before sharing a warm embrace.

In his acceptance speech, Director Hong said, "I hope the actresses will stand up and receive applause," and helped Kim Min-hee and Seo Young-hwa to their feet. In response, Kim Min-hee and Seo Young-hwa stood up and applauded Director Hong, sharing their happiness.

Earlier, at a press conference held on the 25th of last month (local time), the couple’s affectionate appearance was also captured. Director Hong and Kim Min-hee appeared wearing couple rings on their fourth fingers of the right hand and showed special care for each other even while attending official schedules.

In particular, a photo released on the film festival’s official website showing Kim Min-hee standing between Director Hong and Seo Young-hwa on the red carpet, firmly holding Director Hong’s waist from behind, attracted attention.

Kim Min-hee met Director Hong through the film "Right Now, Wrong Then" (2015). Since then, she has starred in a total of seven of Director Hong’s films, including "The Woman Who Ran."
