Kyowon Kumon Donates 2 Billion Won Fund to Overcome COVID-19
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daeseop] Kyowon Group announced on the 2nd that it has established a fund worth 2 billion KRW through its affiliate Kyowon Kumon to prevent and overcome the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
This fund will be used to provide educational supplies and relief goods for children in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions who are experiencing difficulties due to the spread of COVID-19. The fund will be donated to the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation.
Kyowon Kumon is actively supporting children facing care gaps and food insecurity as welfare facilities such as local children's centers have been fully closed. They will provide children with educational supplies and the 'Kyowon Kumon Safety Kit' to maintain basic living conditions. This kit includes convenience foods, hand sanitizers, and sterilizing tissues among other hygiene products.
