KBI Group Donates 100 Million Won to Daegu City for COVID-19 Relief Fund
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daeseop] KBI Group donated 100 million won to Daegu City to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) and support damage relief.
This donation was prepared by KBI Group, which has its roots in Daegu, to help overcome the local crisis. In 2016, it also donated funds to help merchants affected by the fire at Daegu Seomun Market.
Gap-Eul Group, the parent company of KBI Group, started its business as a small fabric store in Daegu Seomun Market in 1951. Gap-Eul Sangsa Group, which separated from Gap-Eul Group in 1987 and began independent management, changed its corporate name to KBI Group last year. Currently, it operates in about 20 affiliates engaged in automobile parts, wire materials, steel pipes, and construction businesses.
