SM and JYP Donate 500 Million Won Each "For Medical Staff and Those Struggling Due to COVID-19"

View original image[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Hee-eun Park] Following SM Entertainment, JYP Entertainment donated 500 million won on the 28th to help resolve the COVID-19 crisis.
Earlier, SM Entertainment donated 500 million won to the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association and requested that the funds be used to support medical staff dedicated to treating COVID-19 patients. SM Entertainment stated, "We want to assist the medical personnel and quarantine workers who are tirelessly fighting the infectious disease day and night," and reportedly added, "Please focus on supporting the shortage of medical supplies, including protective suits and masks."
On the same day, JYP Entertainment also donated 500 million won to the Community Chest of Korea (hereafter referred to as the Fruit of Love) to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
JYP Entertainment expressed their hope that the donation would aid medical staff working hard nationwide, including in Daegu and Gyeongbuk, as well as those facing difficulties.

In response, the Fruit of Love stated, "The donation from JYP Entertainment will be used to purchase medical supplies such as protective suits and masks for medical staff, as well as personal hygiene products to prevent infections among immunocompromised groups."
