Iran reports 205 new COVID-19 cases, total 593 confirmed... 43 deaths
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] The number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in Iran has reached 600.
According to the Iranian Ministry of Health, as of noon on the 29th (local time), the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases increased by 205 from the previous day, totaling 593. The number of deaths rose by 9 to a total of 43. The ministry also reported that 123 patients have been declared recovered.
The first confirmed case was reported in Qatar on the same day. In the United Kingdom, the 20th patient was identified. Previously, 19 patients were confirmed after being infected overseas and entering the country, but the 20th patient was determined to have been infected within the UK. In Thailand, one additional confirmed case was reported, bringing the total to 42. In Japan, eight new cases were confirmed on the day, increasing the cumulative number of confirmed cases to 946.

In Sweden, four new confirmed cases were added the previous day, bringing the total to 11. Norway also confirmed two new cases the previous day, increasing the total number of patients to six. Additionally, Austria reported new confirmed cases the previous night, raising the total number of COVID-19 patients to seven.
