KakaoBank Extends Remote Work... "Due to COVID-19 Spread"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] As the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) continues to spread, KakaoBank has decided to extend its work-from-home policy.
KakaoBank announced that it will extend work-from-home for employees at its headquarters in Pangyo, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi Province until the 3rd of next month. Previously, KakaoBank had implemented work-from-home from the 27th until today.
It is reported that even during work-from-home, KakaoBank smoothly transitioned to a mobile office system by utilizing remote infrastructure and solutions. KakaoBank maintains its work system as a mobile office using laptops and mobile devices, working the same as regular office attendance.
However, essential personnel who must work in the office, such as those at the Yongsan-gu office (customer center) in Seoul and the data center, operate under a normal work schedule.
If the spread of COVID-19 continues, the work-from-home period may be extended again.
