'Cohort Isolation' at Gyeongnam Hanmaeum Changwon Hospital Results in 2 Deaths (Update)
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Ju Cheol-in] At Gyeongnam Hanmaeum Changwon Hospital (Hanyang University College of Medicine Training Hospital), where medical staff have been massively infected with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and have been under 'cohort isolation' since the 26th, two people have died within two days.
Hanmaeum Changwon Hospital announced that one patient with renal failure and one terminal cancer patient died on the 27th and 28th, respectively.
The patient who died on the 28th is currently undergoing specimen testing. The patient who died on the 27th tested negative in the specimen test.
Currently, 89 inpatients, 19 caregivers, and 83 staff members are under cohort isolation at Hanmaeum Changwon Hospital.

A Changwon city official said, "We received a report that an inpatient at Hanmaeum Changwon Hospital died on the 27th, and that the hospital conducted specimen testing internally which confirmed a negative result," adding, "We have not yet been informed of the cause of the additional death."
