View original image[Asia Economy (Cheonan) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) increased by 9 in Cheonan, Chungnam.
According to Chungnam Province on the 28th, after 10 confirmed cases were reported in Cheonan in the morning, an additional 9 people tested positive for COVID-19 in the afternoon. The total number of confirmed cases in the entire Chungnam region is 28, of which 25 are residents of Cheonan.
The confirmed cases in the morning include five women in their 40s and two men in their 30s and 40s living in Cheonan. Among them, A (43, female) and B (46, female) were identified as Zumba class participants, and they tested positive for COVID-19 despite showing no particular symptoms.
Also, C (45, male) was confirmed during the epidemiological investigation to have had contact with a recent confirmed case.
The additional confirmed cases in the afternoon consist of three people in their 30s, four in their 40s, one in their 50s, and one in their 60s.
The provincial and quarantine authorities are conducting epidemiological investigations following the movements of the additional confirmed cases, disinfecting and closing facilities, and plan to transfer the confirmed patients to negative pressure rooms in infectious disease management institutions for hospitalization.
