HiteJinro Provides 1.2 Billion KRW Support to Daegu and Gyeongbuk Regions to Prevent COVID-19 Spread
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Saeng-hye] Hite Jinro announced on the 28th that it will support a total of 1.2 billion KRW in quarantine supplies and donations to overcome the rapidly spreading novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) crisis.
The donations will be used for COVID-19 infection prevention in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions through the Daegu branch of the Korean Red Cross. Hite Jinro plans to first provide 200,000 masks, 60,000 hand sanitizers, and a total of 319,000 bottles of bottled water and Black Barley to social welfare facilities, self-quarantined individuals, medical staff, and vulnerable groups in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk areas, which have been designated as special management zones. In addition, cash support will be provided to procure necessary supplies for prevention and damage recovery.
