Prime Minister Chung made these remarks during his visit to Yeungnam University in Gyeongsan, Gyeongbuk Province, to check the status of protection and management of Chinese international students entering the country amid the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak.
Prime Minister Chung received a report from Seo Jeong-sook, Vice President of Yeungnam University, on the protection and management status of Chinese international students, including their separate accommodation in dormitories, and also inspected the dormitory facilities where the students have been quarantined for two weeks.
At the site, Prime Minister Chung said, "Yeungnam University has responded proactively and well, so I expect they will overcome this without difficulty," and urged, "Please protect them well and provide good education."
He continued, "Through collaboration among universities, local governments, medical institutions, and the government, please do your best to prevent any difficult situations," adding, "The government will also strive to provide support and cooperation whenever necessary."

Afterwards, Prime Minister Chung visited the Administrative Welfare Center in Gosan 3-dong, Suseong District, Daegu City, to check the mask supply situation and encourage the officials involved.
