50s Man Who Killed Divorced Ex-Wife with a Weapon Arrested 5 Hours After Escape
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ga-yeon] A man in his 50s who killed his ex-wife after divorcing her because she prevented him from seeing their children and then fled was caught by the police within 5 hours.
The Busan Southern Police Station announced on the 26th that they have apprehended and are investigating a man in his 50s, Mr. A, on suspicion of stabbing and killing his ex-wife with a weapon.
Mr. A is accused of stabbing Mr. B, also in his 50s, on a road in front of a restaurant in Gamman-dong, Nam-gu, around 5:40 PM while Mr. B was on his way home, causing his death, and then fleeing the scene.
The police responded to a report from a passerby nearby and arrived at the scene. After securing CCTV footage from the vicinity and tracking him, the police caught Mr. A at a PC room in Busan at around 10:40 PM, five hours after the crime.
According to the police investigation, Mr. A committed the crime out of dissatisfaction with Mr. B preventing him from seeing their children.
