Busan Hwarang Association Postpones Busan International Hwarang Art Fair to August Due to COVID-19 Impact
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Byung-hee] The Busan Gallery Association announced on the 27th that the 9th Busan International Gallery Art Fair (2020 BAMA) has been postponed to August this year.
Originally, 2020 BAMA was scheduled to be held on April 9-12 at BEXCO Exhibition Hall 1 in Busan, marking the largest scale ever. However, due to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), the Busan Gallery Association stated that the 2020 BAMA will be postponed and held at BEXCO from August 13-16 this year.
The Busan Gallery Association added that since the national crisis alert level has been raised to 'serious' due to the spread of COVID-19, this measure is for the safety of exhibition personnel and visitors. During the postponed period, they will do their best to create a meaningful art fair by introducing emergency response programs such as promotional activities and opportunities to preview and purchase artworks online in advance.
