[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] On the 27th, the Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that it will urgently provide a total of 1.25 billion KRW in special grants to cover disinfection costs at religious facilities in Seoul to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The special grant of 1.25 billion KRW will be allocated at 50 million KRW each to 25 autonomous districts, and each district will conduct a demand survey targeting churches, cathedrals, temples, etc. within their jurisdiction before starting support.
