[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] BNK Financial Group has instructed about 1,000 working mom employees within the group to take paid leave of up to 10 days in preparation for the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
BNK Financial announced on the 26th that it will proactively implement paid family care leave starting from the 27th to support employees within the group who are facing difficulties in childcare due to nationwide kindergarten closures and elementary school reopening delays.
BNK Financial encourages concentrated use of leave during the closure and suspension periods caused by COVID-19 and plans to allow male employees to freely adjust their schedules and use leave as needed.
Additionally, the company will provide a special two-week leave for pregnant employees with weakened immunity and establish a rotating work-from-home plan for key headquarters departments, implementing various safety measures to prevent COVID-19 damage.
