[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Kim Jeong-hwa, co-representative of the Minsaeng Party, stated on the 25th regarding the role of former Bareunmirae Party leader Sohn Hak-kyu, "It may not be immediate, but at the right time and in the appropriate position, I believe he will take on a significant role for the party and the country."
Co-representative Kim said on tbs radio's 'Kim Eo-jun's News Factory' that "Former leader Sohn said he would serve as a regular party member for now, but if there is a necessary role, he would not refuse."
Regarding the criticism that the party is a regional party based in Honam, Co-representative Kim acknowledged, "It is true that there have been such concerns," and added, "Whenever South Korea has stood at a crossroads, Honam has always made the wisest decisions that shaped history. Nevertheless, regionalism must be overcome."
