According to the police, at around 8:10 a.m. that day, a report was received that the life of an elderly man in his 80s was in critical condition at a house in Nam-gu.
The 119 paramedics and police who arrived at the scene performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and transported him to a nearby hospital, but the man eventually passed away.
The hospital confirmed suspected pneumonia symptoms in the man and requested a COVID-19 infection test from the health authorities.
About 10 hours after the test request, at around 8:30 p.m., the man was confirmed negative for COVID-19.
