The 6th COVID-19 Death in Korea Confirmed... 59-Year-Old Male at Daenam Hospital
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyo-jin] The sixth death from the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) has occurred in South Korea.
According to the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters on the 23rd, patient A (59, male), the 55th confirmed case, died while hospitalized at Dongguk University Gyeongju Hospital in the afternoon.
Patient A was admitted to Cheongdo Daenam Hospital in Hwayang-eup, Cheongdo-gun, Gyeongbuk, and after being confirmed positive for COVID-19 on the 19th, he was transferred to Pohang Medical Center in Gyeongbuk and then treated at Dongguk University Gyeongju Hospital.
It is reported that patient A died while receiving oxygen mask treatment. The health authorities are currently investigating the exact cause of death.
So far, among the six confirmed COVID-19 deaths, four were patients infected at Cheongdo Daenam Hospital.

The other two were a 40-year-old man found dead at his home in Gyeongju and a 56-year-old woman who was receiving treatment at Kyungpook National University Hospital.
